In June 2012 young people from Welkom in the Free State Province met under the banner of Khulumani Support Group (KSG) Youth to discuss issues relating to Youth Development and their well being.
On this day a steering committee was established to spearhead the process of recruitment of young people to become active participants within the movement as well as to empower them with information and knowledge about what KSG stands for.
This meeting was very successful as young people understood that KSG is here for them as victims of apartheid directly and indirectly so.
In this meeting a number of programmes were proposed and discussed namely:
Environmental Awareness Campaigns
Education and training
Sports and recreation
Arts and Culture
